A JOURNEY THROUGH ISTANBUL’S WAQF HERITAGE
Within the scope of our “Dream, Discover, Dedicate” project, through which we bring the traces of our waqf culture together with young generations, we hosted 26 students from the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) in Istanbul.
From visits to Bezmialem Vakıf University and Fatih Sultan Mehmet Vakıf University to observing the soup kitchen services at the Mihrişah Valide Sultan Imaret, and from the Sultanahmet Mosque to the Hagia Sophia Grand Mosque and the Yıldız Hamidiye Mosque, the program provided a meaningful opportunity to establish a strong connection with our waqf civilization.
Through the field experiences carried out within the program, the students had the opportunity to observe firsthand the spirit of solidarity and the awareness of cultural heritage.
