MAUSOLEUM OF GAZI SÜLEYMAN PASHA AND THE TOMB OF NAMIK KEMAL REOPENED TO VISITORS
With the contributions of the Çanakkale Governorate and through the restoration works carried out by our Directorate General, the Mausoleum of Gazi Süleyman Pasha and the tomb of Namık Kemal, the patriotic poet of Turkish literature, located in the district of Gelibolu, have been reopened to visitors following the completion of their restoration.
In the area where these two distinguished figures—each holding an exceptional place in history—are buried, the wall joints were renewed and the surrounding boundaries were reorganized. With the revitalization of the stone paving, lighting, and fountain (şadırvan), the aesthetic integrity of the site was enhanced and the overall environment was brought into harmony.
