OHRİ ALİ PAŞA MOSQUE RESTORATION COMPLETED AND OPENED TO WORSHIP
Under the Protocol signed on April.1,2015 between The Repuplic of Turkey Directorate General of Foundations and North Macedonia Islamic Cominity Presidency, the restoration of the Ohrid Ali Pasha Mosque with the 32.5 m high minaret ruined for 107 years, which was lasted about 2.5 years was completed and opened to worship on November 28,2018. The opening ceremony was honored by Our Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Mr. Ahmet Misbah DEMİRCAN, our Director General Mr. Dr. Adnan ERTEM, The Republic of Turkey-Vice President of Religious Affairs Mr. Burhan İŞLEYEN and our Ambassador of Skopje Mrs. Tülin Erkal KARA. Also, President of the Islamic Community of North Macedonia Mr. Süleyman RECEPI and Ohrid Mufti Mr. Samet HAYDAR as well as many bureaucrats and citizens from North Macedonia attended the ceremony.
