OUR DEPUTY DIRECTOR GENERAL MR. AYDIN CEM ASLANBAY INSPECTED THE RESTORATION WORKS WE CONDUCTED IN TRNC ON SITE

Our Deputy Director General Mr. Aydın Cem Aslanbay and the accompanying delegation, who went to TRNC to conduct on-site inspections and a series of contacts regarding the projects carried out by our Directorate General, started their program by visiting our Ambassador to Nicosia H.R. Mr Ali Murat Başçeri at the embassy residence. 

After the visit, delegation met with the Director General of Cyprus Evkaf Administration PhD. İbrahim Benter and examined the foundation cultural assets the Lala Paşa Mosque , Cafer Paşa Bath, Kutup Osman Tomb and dervish lodge and Bilal Ağa Masjid in Varosha.

The delegation also visited the Lefkoşa Dükkanlar Önü Mosque and Selimiye Mosque construction sites where restoration works are being carried out by our Directorate General in cooperation with The Cyprus Evkaf Administration and participated to a meeting of Scientific Committee formed for the restoration of Selimiye Mosque. In the meeting information was obtained about the restoration process and evaluations were made about the works to be done in the upcoming period in line with the views of TRNC High Council of Ancient Artefacts and Monuments and the Scientific Committee.
