OUR MINISTER MR. MEHMET NURİ ERSOY VISITED OUR STAND IN “6TH HERITAGE ISTANBUL “ FAIR

The sixth organization of the Heritage İstanbul, Conservation, Archeology, Restoration, Museum Technologies Fair was done this year, opened with the speech of our Minister Mr. Mehmet Nuri Ersoy at the Lütfi Kırdar International Congress and Exhibition Center. Our Minister Mr. Mehmet Nuri Ersoy and our Deputy Minister Mr. Ahmet Misbah Demircan visited our stand set up by our Directorate General at the fair that can be visited between May 11 and May 13.

The works from our museums like, The Ankara Museum of Foundational Works, Selimiye Foundation Museum of Edirne, Double Minaret Foundation Museum of Erzurum, Mevlevi Dervish Lodge Foundation Museum of Gaziantep, Akaretler Mustafa Kemal 2010 Museum of İstanbul, Şeyh Şaban-ı Veli Foundation Museum of Kastamonu, Sahip Ata Foundation Museum of Konya, Mevlevi Dervish Lodge Foundation Museum of Tokat, Gök Madrasa Foundation Museum of Sivas and other museums from all over Türkiye and workings at İzmir Tire Necip Pasha Library, İstanbul İbrahim Hakkı Konyalı Library and Directorate General Central Library , affiliated to the Directorate General of foundations which is not only responsible of immovable cultural assets but also responsible from the exhibiting protecting and handling over of movable cultural assets to the future generations are presented at our stand. A workshop was held in company with the conservation images of the Hagia Sophia Foundation and the application stages were shown at our stand as well. In addition, holograms of immovable artifacts such as calligraphy plates and 3D printed replicas of artifacts such as candlesticks and bowls are shown to our visitors.

Within the scope of our restoration works, Fethiye Mosque, Mahmut Paşa Mosque, Sultan Ahmet Mosque, Terra Santa Complex, Ferruh Kethuda Mosque as well as many foundation cultural assets from Anatolia are introduced with their post photos of restoration phases and projects. Our promotions are accompanied by videos of movable works.

On the first day of the fair “Examples of restoration works carried out with the Directorate general of Foundations” were explained within the scope of Heritage Talks.

The symposium titled “Conservation, Library and Museum Activities of The Directorate general of Foundations will be held on Thursday May 12 between 15:45-17:00

“6th heritage Istanbul” will continue to bring together experts in their fields with cultural heritage enthusiasts through events such as conferences talks and workshops until May 13.

The fair supported by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, The Directorate General of Cultural Heritage and Museum and our Directorate general of Foundations hosts more than 120 participants 32 of which are from abroad.
